Just League Action Run is Warner Bros. International's offering and it's a great option for DC lovers who can't get enough of the heroes and the villains. If you like games like Subway Surfer and Temple Run but are bored of the similar styles and lack of storyline, Justice League Action Run is the running game which would prove a great revelation for you. It has the characters, the missions and the storyline which would keep you entertained while nice in-game controls ensure that you are fully invested in the game.
Justice League Action Run has good home layout. There are five main tabs including 'Missions', 'News', 'Videos', 'Facts' and 'Comics'. It can be a bit confusing at first even with a very simple layout. Therefore, I found the initial tutorial interesting. The running game points at everything you have to do in order to clear a mission and therefore, guide you through the first mission entirely. After this, you should get a hang of what's happening and the app then lets you control everything.
The missions tab is the main tab. Here, you would be able to see all your missions. The main villain of each mission would be visible on the screen. You can select any of the missions available and get started. Each mission has different milestones and you have to complete every milestone in order to thwart the villain's evil plan. The final milestone of every mission is the destruction of the main villain and this is probably the most difficult aspect of the game as it takes time to understand how to destroy the main villain.
The running game also offers great power upgrades with each level. Once you complete a milestone or an entire mission, the running game awards points and if you have accumulated enough points, your level is increased. With every completed mission, you also unlock new characters and powers.
At the start of each mission, you get to choose three heroes that you want to play with. The app normally helps with selection of the three most suitable heroes for every mission. Once selected, you can swap between characters during the mission and use their special powers to help yourself in completing the mission.
The storylines are not very detailed but the villains and the heroes are greatly popular characters. The app can improve storylines for every mission as that would bring a lot more involvement from the players but it's still only a minor problem with an otherwise impressive game.
The variety of missions and the number of heroes and villains available is mighty impressive as well. The app's huge size is justified by its database of characters on display and therefore, I don't think there is any point in griping about the huge size.
The app also has great videos, comics, news and facts tabs. If you want a breather from your missions or just want to catch up with the comics and DC news, you would find these four tabs very useful as well. It's a nice addition to the game and improves the overall experience for the user.
